BPA Free – Going Green at the Terminal

Over the past few years there has been a growing concern over the potential human health impact of exposure to Bisphenol A (BPA) in a wide variety of products, most notably plastic water bottles and children’s toys. But did you know that BPA is still commonly used in credit card terminal thermal paper? BPA was orignially added to the coating on thermal paper because it reacted to the heat to produce an image on paper. But there are BPA-free alternatives that work just as well.

So pick up some BPA-free paper and let your customers know you’ve made the switch – when you buy in bulk, there’s barely any increase in cost, so it won’t hurt your bottom line while showing you care. It’s good for you, good for your customers, and good for your business!
